Baki Hanma vs Pickle

Pickle is a primitive man found perfectly preserved in a saline rock formation (hence he is ‘pickled’) with a Tyrannosaurus in a 190 million year old stratum. He was resuscitated by a scientist and named Pickle.

Pickle is around 2 meters tall and weighing around 130 kg, and his overwhelming physical abilities made him a strong enemy of Baki.
Many of Baki’s rivals also challenged Pickle but were defeated.

Biscuit Oliva vs Baki Hanma

Next, I introduce is battle of Biscuit Oliva vs. Baki.
Oliva is also known as “Mr. Unchained. The reason for this is that he is a prisoner (inmate) usually incarcerated at the Arizona State Penitentiary in Arizona, USA, but is in a special position to freely enter and leave the said prison.
He is called Mr. Unchained because he is so monstrous that no one can lock him up and stop him.

Baki temporarily kidnaps the President of the United States and places him in the same prison just to fight with Oliva.
The highlight of the film is how Baki uses his fighting sense and martial arts skills against Oliva’s overwhelming power.

Katsumi Orochi vs Pickle

Next, is the battle between Katsumi Orochi and Pickel. Katsumi Orochi is the karate master in the baki series.
The most notable point is Katsumi Orochi’s “Mach Punch,” which he created for the fight against Pickel.

BakHanma vs Yujiro Hanma

Speaking of great fights, let’s not forget this one.
It is the father-son duel between Baki and Yujiro. The fight against Yujiro, the last boss for the main character Baki, is also a very exciting scene.

Baki’s challenge to Yujiro with everything he has cultivated in the story is very moving for readers who have witnessed his growth.

In particular, the incredible  battle scenes of Yujiro, who is called the strongest creature on earth, are just fascinating.

Retsu Kaiou vs Smoking Joe (Joe Cruiser)

The last one is from Retsu Kaiou’s boxing match as an extra.
Retsu lost his right leg in a fight with Pickel.
However, he did not give up fighting as a warrior even though he lost one of his legs, and he challenged the boxing world. He met Kaiser, a promoter, and was attracted to the strong opponent he had in store for him, so he moved to the United States.

In his debut fight in the U.S., he kicked out former world heavyweight champion Andrei Wharev.
In his match against Smoking Joe, Retsu struggled with his boxing, but he was able to beat him with his Chinese martial arts skills.

5. Doppo Orochi vs Dorian

Check this fight out on Netflix in Episodes 11 and 12, and on Manga in Volume 9.

Dorian is strong enough to be Kaiou.
Despite this, he is also sneaky, with surprise strikes from crying out and hypnotic attacks.

Against the dastardly Doria, Doppo eventually overpowers Dorian with his own physical strength and karate skills.

Dorian cuts off Doppo’s arm with an hidden wire.

Kaoru Hanayama vs Spec

A battle between Kaoru Hanayama and Spec, a prisoner on death row.
Spec is one of Baki’s most vicious and despicable characters, using surprise attacks, surprise strikes, and weapons of all kinds.

One of the most memorable scenes is the one Spec shoves a handful of bullets into Hanayama’s mouth and slams his jaws shut, causing the gunpowder in the bullets to explode and blow holes through Kaoru Hanayama’s cheeks.
However, Kaoru Hanayama is super cool, taking all of the Spec’s attacks head-on and bringing the Spec to its knees with a single fist.

Spec, who revive many times when they think they have been defeated, and surprise the audience each time, are also supremely cunning and thrilling, making this one of my personal favorite battles.

Gaia vs Sikorsky

Check this fight out on Netflix in Episodes 22 and 23, and on Manga in Volume 17 and 18.

Gaia is a strong fighter who almost killed Baki in the past( in his training days).
Gaia’s fighting style is based on using the environment around him as a weapon. He uses evrything in the environment as a weapon.

In the fight with Sikorsky, he used sand from the underground arena, which contained teeth and nails from previous fights, and started to fight with it as a weapon. He also used sand as to camouflage himself and be invisible.
The battle ends with a terrified Sikorsky admitting his defeat amongst a bewildered audience.

Biscuit Oliva vs Ron Shobun

Check this fight out on Netflix in Part 3 Episode 4 and 5, and on Manga in Volume 24.

A match between Oliva and Ron Shobun, both of whom have the nickname Unchained.
Ron uses a unique form called “Hand Pocket” to push Oliva with his undefendable speed.

Oliva, on the other hand, uses the same form to counter and finally overpowers Shobun with his monstrous strength.

Yujiro Hanma vs Kaku Kaiou

Check this fight out on Netflix in Part 3 Episode 7 and 8, and on Manga in Volume 26 and 27.

Called the battle of ultimate martial arts vs. ultimate violence.

Kaiou Kaku is the greatest and renowned Supreme Grandmaster of Chinese Kenpo. He is roughly 146 years old when first seen in the manga.

The highlight of the show is Kaku Kaiou’s “shaori.
By relaxing his body, Kaku Kaiou is able to control the flow of power around his body, nullifying even Yujiro’s overwhelming power.
